After 17 seasons defending the Bianconeri colours on the pitch, Giorgio Chiellini has returned to Juventus to take on a new professional challenge, as Head of Football Institutional Relations. The only player to have contributed to all nine league titles won by Juventus from 2012 to 2020, he added five Italian Cups and as many Italian Super Cups to his resume as well, while with the Italian national team, he lifted the 2020 European Championship trophy as captain. In June 2022, he left Italian football and moved to the MLS to play for Los Angeles FC, a team with which he won the MLS Cup and the MLS Supporters’ Shield. In December 2023, he announced his retirement as a player and began a managerial career in football following studies in Economics and Business Administration, which he completed with honours. His thesis was entitled ‘The Business Model of Juventus Football Club in an International Context’.
