Description

David is a sports broadcaster with more than 25 years' experience in the industry. He is currently an established presenter at Sky Sports News, anchoring their famed Deadline Day coverage and he has also hosted live football on Sky Sports, primarily LaLiga but also Premier League and EFL coverage. He was previously at BBC Sport, mainly Radio 1 Newsbeat.

David's other main role is as sustainability lead at Sky Sports News, as climate action and wider purpose and impact (or sport for good) is an important part of his work. To that end, David fronted and exec-produced "Football's Toughest Opponent", a documentary exploring the relationship between the beautiful game and the climate crisis. He has also aired 4 seasons of "Playing for the Planet", a vodcast and bespoke feature series charting the journey's of elite athletes in sustainability.

David's work in sustainability also includes partnering with other organisations such as UEFA, FIA, Formula E, McLaren Racing, SailGP, the R&A and Polestar, and as a result has also taken him into the realms of technology and innovation.

As well as being a native Spanish speaker having been born to Colombian parents, David studied Modern Languages (French and German) at Oxford University, and he supports Sheffield Wednesday in England and Valencia in Spain.
