A second-gen British-Pakistani, raised at the golden era of pirate radio and Kiss 100 FM, her sets are shaped by a deep love of music in all its messy, magical glory.

Since 2020, she’s hosted The Breakfast Brapp on Netil Radio - named Time Out’s “Best Show on Quirkiest Station” where she spins cherished bangers, new gems, and has oddball audio adventures with her guests, who have included Obonjayar, Bel Cobain, Iyamah and more - The Breakfast Brapp champions new and independent artists and music and as well as amplifying marginalised voices.

Shimmy has held down residencies with Hungama London's Bollywood-inspired, SA Queer, Loud, Joyful, Unapologetic Studio 54, Soho House and more - with sets everywhere from London's iconic - Tate Modern, Somerset House and the Southbank to sun-drenched parties in The BVI to Mykonos.
