Dosa Cat has been training in dance and movement, especially Kathak, for a number of years now and has taken it beyond the traditional realms. She hopes to explore this topic with reference to performers and the gender representation through form in her field work & into further academics. Through the many characters on stage, Dosa has taken her training and applied it to Cabaret performance and Drag Artistry and hopes to continue to integrate both sides of her cultural heritage within her performance. She has performed in many prestigious locations, has been commissioned by Akādemi to perform at the Southbank Centre, and choreographed for TV & Film. Dosa Cat has also played one of the only few openly queer characters within in a Bollywood film, depicting not only a drag queen but also a queer individual in a queer relationship. She hopes to take these accolades and credentials to work with marginalised voices within queer communities to also fuel her for a doctorate in the near future.
