Dr Natasha Davendralingam is trying to change what happens after we die.
As co-founder and CEO of Anubix, she is pioneering a new model of death investigation: one that is faster, less invasive, more compassionate, and fit for the 21st century. Her work uses post-mortem CT to offer families and coronial systems an alternative to traditional autopsy, helping to reduce delays, preserve dignity, and reframe death care as an essential part of healthcare.
A Consultant Radiologist with specialist expertise in post-mortem imaging, forensic radiology and medico-legal practice, Natasha works across the intersection of medicine, law, technology, ethics and grief. Through Anubix, she has developed award-winning PMCT services, the world’s first virtual post-mortem imaging learning platform, practical training programmes, international education initiatives, and family-facing services including the After Life Imaging Clinic.
She is an NHS Innovation Accelerator Fellow, NHS Clinical Entrepreneur Programme Fellow, Certified Expert Witness in Criminal Law and Procedure, and Family Court Magistrate. Her work has received multiple national recognitions, including the British Institute of Radiology/Bayer Make It Better Service Award, HSJ award recognition, and Forty Under 40 UK Health Category Winner.
Natasha is also host of Future Medicine TV’s Dead Honest with Natasha, a series exploring death, grief, loss, healthcare and innovation through honest, human conversations.
At SXSW London, she brings a rare perspective on how technology, AI and systems change could help us investigate death with greater accuracy, dignity and compassion.
