Visualizing the Unseen

While Generative AI can mimic existing visual media, we're far more interested in its potential to create entirely new and intriguing images, especially those that visualize the unseen depths of our minds. Algorithmic Art and Generative AI offer a unique lens through which to explore the collective unconscious, hidden within the symbols and archetypes that appear in our dreams and across diverse art traditions—from cave paintings to Tantric art to Abstract Expressionism. In this talk, we'll introduce algorithmic art and Generative AI, focusing on the fascinating concept of "emergence," where complex patterns arise from simple rules. We'll then explore how these cutting-edge media allow us to represent symbolic archetypes and delve into the collective unconscious in unprecedented ways.
