With guitar in hand and a clear creative vision, Finn Askew has emerged as one of the UK’s most exciting young artists. Raised in a small Somerset market town, Finn was surrounded by creativity from an early age. His father is an artist, his sisters performed in musical theatre, and it was his mother who first encouraged him to pick up the guitar. He started playing at just seven years old, taking lessons before eventually teaching himself and developing his own style. It wasn’t until auditioning for a school play that he discovered his voice, and with it, a new way to express himself. Drawing inspiration from artists as varied as Lil Peep, The Beach Boys, Nirvana, Justin Bieber, Frank Ocean and Juice WRLD, Finn began crafting the genre-blurring sound that defines his music today: emotionally honest, melodic, and instinctive. His breakthrough came during the pandemic with the release of “Roses.” The track quickly gained global traction after Taeyong of NCT 127 played it on a livestream and sang along, sparking a surge of attention. Soon after, Jungkook shared the song on social media, helping propel it past 65 million streams and introducing Finn to an international audience. Since then, Finn has continued to build momentum. He was named a VEVO DSCVR Artist to Watch, performed at major UK festivals including Reading and Leeds Festivals and The Great Escape, and joined both Odeal and Anees on tour.
