Counter Chamber

Counter Chamber aims to redefine what chamber music means in the modern age. Founded by musicians Samuel Sharp and Jay Chakravorty in 2022, Counter Chamber pushes aside the awkward and stuffy concert hall recitals of traditional classical music in favour of a relaxed and intimate club setting, where a diverse range of modern composers perform their own original instrumental works, blending influences from neoclassical, electronic, minimalist, and ambient music. Curation is key - while the music can be experimental and bold, Counter Chamber aims for an underlying aesthetic of melody and beauty, bringing contemporary classical music to a whole new modern audience.
