Stuart is one of the UK live entertainment industry's most
respected leaders. He has more than four decades of experience
investing, building and scaling major live businesses, events and
brands. Stuart originally founded music & entertainment promoter
Kilimanjaro Live and now leads KMJ Entertainment Group, created
in 2024 to unite a multi-brand entertainment portfolio spanning
live music, festivals, comedy, spoken word, theatre, immersive
experiences and ticketing.
Stuart’s journey began promoting bands like The Clash and U2 at
Leeds University, followed by 15 years with MCP where he worked
on tours for artists such as Guns N’ Roses, Metallica, and AC/DC.
Throughout his career, Stuart has helped shape some of the UK's
most significant live platforms. As a founding executive at Live
Nation, he led the creation of Download, Wireless and Hyde Park
Calling festivals, and major global events such as Live 8 and Live
Earth.
Under Stuart's leadership KMJ now encompasses 16 company
brands across multiple live sectors and ticketing. Stuart received
the LIVEtime Achievement Award at the 2025 LIVE Awards,
recognising his many contributions and achievements to date,
including tackling secondary ticketing issues.
