Mohan Sundararaj is a global health and social-impact leader with over 20 years of experience advancing equity, public health, and human rights across more than 60 countries. He currently serves as Managing Director of Grindr for Equality, Grindr’s global social impact initiative, where he leads strategy, partnerships, and program design across HIV prevention, sexual health, community safety, and LGBTQ+ rights.
Mohan has played a key role in scaling innovative digital health programs, including HIV self-testing, DoxyPEP awareness, and community-led prevention ecosystems, working closely with governments, multilateral agencies, and grassroots organizations. His work bridges public health, technology, and advocacy—translating data, policy, and community insight into high-impact, user-centered interventions reaching millions globally.
Prior to Grindr, Mohan held leadership roles across global health and philanthropy, managing large-scale, multi-country initiatives spanning HIV, mental health, COVID-19 response, and health systems strengthening. He brings deep experience in partnership development, grantmaking, strategy, and evaluation, with a strong emphasis on equity, dignity, and community-driven solutions.
A physician by training and a passionate advocate for LGBTQ+ health and rights, Mohan is known for blending analytical rigor with empathy, creativity, and collaboration—building programs that are both scalable and grounded in lived experience.
