Max Jaderberg is the President of Isomorphic Labs, an AI company developing and applying frontier AI to reimagine and advance the drug design process from first principles. A founding member since its inception in 2021, he previously served as Chief AI Officer where he spearheaded the research, development and application of pioneering AI models for drug discovery, including the landmark AlphaFold 3. His leadership has consistently driven breakthroughs in machine learning algorithms and methods across multiple domains, translating into step-change progress in drug design.

Prior to joining Isomorphic Labs, Max was at Google DeepMind. Max led the Open-Ended Learning research team and pioneered numerous world-leading AI algorithms combining large-scale deep learning, reinforcement learning, and generative models to achieve world-leading results with AI. These include AlphaStar, Capture the Flag, and Spatial Transformer Networks.

Earlier in his career, Max was CEO and co-founder of Vision Factory, a company specialising in image recognition technology with deep learning, such as the Imagenet-winning network in 2014. Vision Factory was acquired by the Google family in 2014 to become part of DeepMind.

Max completed his undergraduate degree in engineering science at the University of Oxford and his PhD with the Visual Geometry Group at the University of Oxford, where he developed deep learning algorithms for image understanding. He is widely published in journals including Nature and Science with his work featuring in textbooks. Max together with the team at Isomorphic Labs is combining machine learning with computational biology to help unlock deeper scientific insights, faster breakthroughs, and life-changing medicines with an ultimate ambition to solve all disease.
