Laura joined Balderton’s early-stage investment team in 2022.
Prior to Balderton, she spent over a decade in operating roles, most recently as Director of Product Marketing and Strategy at Away, the unicorn travel scale-up. She previously led H&M’s US women’s e-commerce business, with a focus on product marketing and strategy, after beginning her digital career at Abercrombie & Fitch.
Laura is passionate about youth education and wealth equity. She was an early consultant for The Fifteen Percent Pledge, a non-profit building sustainable ecosystems for Black-owned businesses. She began her career as a Fulbright Scholar in Uruguay, where she founded Girls Score Goals, a sports-education startup serving underserved schools.
Laura holds an MBA from INSEAD and a B.A. from Washington University in St. Louis. She speaks Spanish, oil paints, plays soccer, and occasionally performs improv at underfunded comedy clubs.
