John Empson has over 30 years of industry experience spanning live events, record labels and artist management. Beginning his career at Stiff Records and later at Beggars Banquet, where he founded Mantra Recordings with Martin Mills. In 2002, he launched the Eden Sessions at the Eden Project, followed by the creation of Somersault Festival and programming of Wilderness and Citadel festivals. In partnership with Peaky Blinders creator Steven Knight, he introduced an innovative experiential festival in 2019. Since 2020, John has served as a senior consultant and promoter for Sony-owned Senbla, producing large-scale tours and events for globally renowned artists. Emperor Management also represents Mên An Tol and Liam Frost.
