Idris Elba

Golden Globe and SAG winning Idris Elba is an actor, producer, director, and musician, continually securing his place as one of the most versatile performers in Hollywood. Elba rose to fame playing Stringer Bell in HBO’s critically acclaimed series THE WIRE. In 2010 he starred as the title character in the BBC mini-series LUTHER earning him a Golden Globe Award, SAG Award, and four Primetime Emmy Award nominations. His expansive award-garnering film career includes AMERICAN GANGSTER, MANDELA: LONG WALK TO FREEDOM, BEASTS OF NO NATION, THE MOUNTAIN BETWEEN US, AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON, AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR, MOLLY’S GAME, FAST & FURIOUS PRESENTS: HOBBS & SHAW, CONCRETE COWBOY, THE SUICIDE SQUAD, THE HARDER THEY FALL, THREE THOUSAND YEARS OF LONGING, BEAST, THE SUICIDE SQUAD and LUTHER: THE FALLEN SUN. He has also loaned his voice in such projects as THE JUNGLE BOOK, FINDING DORY, ZOOTOPIA, the Oscar winning short THE BOY, THE MOLE, THE FOX AND THE HORSE and the hit series KNUCKLES, which set the best opening weekend record for a Paramount+ original series. Behind the camera, Elba made his feature film directorial debut at the Sundance Film Festival with YARDIE and in 2024 he founded, 22Summers, a full-service production company.

Elba recently executive produced and starred in the Apple TV+ thriller HIJACK which earned him an Emmy nomination for Best Actor. He is currently in production on HIJACK season 2. He will next be seen starring in HEADS OF STATE opposite John Cena and Priyanka Chopra as well as in the feature film ABOVE THE BELOW, which he co-directed with Martin Owen.
