Dr Hutan Ashrafian is an academic, surgeon, computational biologist, immunologist, entrepreneur, historian, writer, martial artist and philosopher. He is the current chief scientific officer of Preemptive Health and Medicine at Flagship Pioneering. Hutan was appointed as Chief Scientific Adviser at the Institute of Global Health Innovation, Imperial College London in 2017.
