David Lee is the Chief Brand & Creative Officer of Squarespace, leading the company’s award-winning Creative team whose work encapsulates all brand strategy, creative, design and production efforts. In his eleven years at Squarespace, David has been honored as Brand Chief Creative Officer of The Year by Ad Age in addition to his team being named Ad Age’s A-List In-House Agency of the Year. In 2023, David’s team was honored by the Art Directors Club as the Brand of the Year, and became the number one globally recognized and awarded in-house agency by the One Club for Creativity. David has been included in the Adweek Creative 100 List as a Branded Content Innovator, raising the bar for storytelling and artistic integrity. He was named one of the Most Creative People in Business by Fast Company and has recently been recognized by Gold House in the A100 list, honoring Asian Pacific leaders who made the greatest impact on culture and society.

Since joining Squarespace, David has masterminded ten Super Bowl campaigns and won an Emmy Award for most Outstanding Commercial of the year. He has won and served as a judge for many industry awards, including the Cannes Lions, D&AD, ADC, One Show, Clios, Andy Awards, AICP, Webby Awards, Tribeca Film Festival, SXSW and Fast Company.

Prior to Squarespace, David served as the Worldwide Digital Executive Creative Director of TBWA, as a Creative Director at Wieden+Kennedy London and AKQA San Francisco, and started his career as a Designer and Art Director at Sid Lee in Montréal. David graduated from the Rhode Island School of Design and currently serves as Co-Chair, Officer of the Board of Trustees. He also serves as an Executive Member of the IADAS.

Proudly a French Canadian, American, Korean - a native of Montréal, he now splits his time between NYC and LA.
