Alex Kendall co-founded Wayve in 2017 to reimagine autonomous mobility through embodied AI. Under his leadership, it’s one of the fastest-growing AI companies for autonomous driving globally.

Recognised as a world expert in Computer Vision and Robotics, Alex earned his Ph.D. at the University of Cambridge. From his award-winning research in deep learning, he pioneered a new approach to self-driving, that uses end-to-end AI to build a general-purpose driving intelligence that can navigate the world without maps and make safe decisions. As CEO, Alex leads the company’s overall strategy, working closely with leadership, investors, and partners to develop and deploy Wayve’s Embodied AI software products into millions of vehicles worldwide. Alex was named on the Forbes 30 Under 30 innovators list and was awarded an Order of the British Empire in 2025 for his services to AI.
