Alex Bouaziz is co-founder and CEO of Deel, the all-in-one payroll and HR platform for global teams. Founded in 2019, Deel’s technology helps companies simplify every aspect of scaling and managing an international workforce, from culture and onboarding, to local payroll and compliance. In six years, the company has grown to 7,000+ team members worldwide in 100+ countries, acquired 11 companies and raised more than $650 million in funding. Deel has 35,000+ customers across 150+ countries, including Klarna, Pizza Hut, and Cloudflare. Alex spends his time focused on building products, interfacing with clients and addressing their challenges, exploring opportunities for M&A and partnerships, and mentoring other founders of high-growth startups. Alex grew up in Paris and graduated from Technion (Israel Institute of Technology) and then MIT with a Masters in Civil and Environmental Engineering. At MIT, Alex met co-founder Shuo Wang, both immigrants to the U.S., and the two founded Deel after connecting over the shared experience of hiring challenges for international workers in prior ventures. Prior to Deel, Alex co-founded investment fund Sarona Ventures.
