Description

Our national story has been captured by a politics of selfishness and exclusion; this panel asks: Is it possible to reclaim English identity from polarisation and bring people together to tackle the major issues facing us today? This fantastic panel explores English identity through the myths and stories that once anchored us in a culture of belonging, including English radical traditions. Working with the audience, the panel will discuss whether it’s possible to imagine a patriotism of creativity, care and freedom, and which shared values can best help us recover a kinder, collaborative Englishness.
