UK Premiere: DuEls + Q&A with Jonas Åkerlund

In this immersive, hypnotizing dance film, renowned Swedish director Jonas Åkerlund — who has created music videos for major legends such as Beyoncé, Madonna, Metallica, Lady Gaga, and Paul McCartney — worked with choreographers Damien Jalet and Erna Ómarsdóttir to capture Nagelhus Schia Productions’ stunning titular performance. The showcase, which premiered in the Vigeland Museum in Oslo in February 2020 to high demand, consists of brief, visceral interludes performed as a tour through the museum in direct dialogue with Vigeland’s iconic sculptures. It’s an experience like no other.
