His music and artistry also reflect the influence of icons such as Victoria Monét, Lucky Daye, Daniel Caesar, and D’Angelo, as well as peers such Ego Ella May and Mnelia, who continue to inspire his ever-evolving sound.In 2022, Kadeem released his critically acclaimed 11-track mixtape, ‘As Time Goes By’—a heartfelt collection of R&B tracks with authenticity, love, and individuality. Crafted during the lockdowns in collaboration with an incredible lineup of musicians, the project featured the standout single ‘Let Me Know’ featuring Shae Universe and Geovarn, and ‘All My Love,’ a soulful track with the legendary Omar. In 2023, Kadeem followed up with a series of captivating singles, including ‘City,’ produced by Sam Posener, and the smooth, soul-drenched ‘Lover and Friend.’ Over the years, he has collaborated with a stellar roster of talent, including James Vickery, Ego Ella May, Bellah, and Jvck James, to name a few. Another defining moment in Kadeem’s journey came during the trip to SXSW in Texas. While there, he co-wrote Jaz Karis’s ‘Nice Girls,’ featuring Mahalia—an acclaimed track that reflects his artistic growth and growing confidence.
