Raised in the strongly cultured city of Kingston Jamaica, Jaz Elise is a multi-talented artist who is on a mission. Hailed for her 21st century blend of reggae, soul, R&B and dancehall, the fast-rising vocalist, songwriter and producer from the city’s coastal region of Harbour View has been gaining attention at home and abroad. She is one of the island’s brightest stars, with only a handful of songs in her repertoire (including her hits "Fresh & Clean" and “Rice & Peas”). Her 2021 debut EP The Golden Hour (via In.Digg.Nation Collective and RCA Records) also spawned favorites like "Radio”, “Elevated” and “After 3”. KEXP/NPR named it one of Best Albums of Year. Following her first Europe Tour last summer, she received a nomination for Best Female Reggae Artist at the 2023 Caribbean Music Awards and for Impact award in 2024. Most recently, “Fresh & Clean” was featured in the HBO MAX series Young Love (dir. by Matthew Cherry).
This Spring, Vogue raved Jaz’s music shines “spotlight on the true Jamaican experience and will inspire you to book a trip ASAP” and Billboard hails her “delicious dramatic mixture of R&B and reggae”.
Aside from singing, Jaz Elise has co-starred in the international short film Capture Land directed by Nabil Elderkin, whose credits include videos for musical artists like Kanye West, Dua Lipa and Kendrick Lamar. With her highly anticipated debut album on the horizon, Jaz continues to captivate her audience, reaching the hearts of the masses.
