Hakumba

Budapest based 11-piece band HAKUMBA fuse jazz, afrobeat and world music into high energy live performances featuring eclectic horn arrangements, dense percussive grooves and captivating vocal and instrumental virtuosity. Following their 2023 debut album “Véletlen volt, nem direkt” and subsequent EP and single releases, Hakumba dropped their 2024 album, a concentrated afrobeat-fusion project called “Message” consisting of 7 exciting new tracks, which is also available on vinyl. They are regular performers at many Eastern European festivals and showcases such as Kolorádó, Valley of Arts (HU), Goulash Disko (CRO), Mumush (RO), SHIP (CRO), Malom (SE) and Fishing on Orfű (HU).
