Genevieve Segall joined HanWay Films in 2023, where she works across acquisitions including Tornado, from acclaimed director John Maclean; Bad Apples, a dark comedy starring Sioarse Ronan; La Cocina, Alonso Ruizpalacios’s acclaimed kitchen-set drama; and most recently Rapture a medieval horror starring Kit Connor and Will Poulter and Last Meals from Oscar winning director Ramin Bahrani starring Mads Mikkelson, both prestige-driven auteur projects. Prior to HanWay, she spent eight years as Senior Acquisitions Manager at Universal Pictures Content Group, negotiating worldwide and multi-territory distribution deals for both feature and documentary films, with titles including Pearl, Ti West’s critically acclaimed horror feature with Mia Goth; Brawl in Cell Block 99, S. Craig Zahler’s brutal crime thriller starring Vince Vaughn; 5 Feet Apart, the breakout romantic drama starring Cole Sprouse and Haley Lu Richardson. Earlier in her career, Segall worked in Koch Media’s London office, handling multi-territory acquisitions such as Obvious Child, Gillian Robespierre’s directorial debut starring Jenny Slate; and the critically acclaimed thriller Arbitrage, starring Richard Gere and Susan Sarandon.
