Farooque Bhai Project is the musical brainchild of NYC-based Bangladeshi Canadian artist Issa Farooque, widely recognized as a pioneer of modern Bangla Alt-Pop. Blending witty, nostalgic, and often socially conscious lyrics with catchy, funk-pop tunes, he has gained popularity in the Bengali indie music scene with hits like "Golapi", “1990 (Naach Bangali Naach)”, “Duita Dekhi” and “Shokaleo”.
