Brandon Kirby (Communication + Leadership)

Mentoring at The Courthouse

June 2, 2026, 10:40 - 11:00 AM

Brandon Kirby (Communication + Leadership)

Brandon is the founder of SongShift, working with music industry teams, professionals, and artists to strengthen how they communicate, collaborate, and lead under pressure.

He has broad experience across the music industry as a label founder, promoter, DJ, and producer, giving him a first-hand view of how creative work actually happens and where it breaks down when the stakes are high.

Today, he helps teams communicate more clearly, navigate conflict, and make better decisions in fast-moving, high-pressure environments. His work focuses on a growing gap in the industry: while the business evolves rapidly, the human skills needed to lead, collaborate, and adapt are often underdeveloped.

Alongside this, Brandon has spent over 20 years across creative industries and higher education, including founding and scaling a branding agency, and designing and leading executive and professional development programmes for global audiences.

Through SongShift, he delivers practical, experiential learning that turns insight into action, helping people and organisations perform, adapt, and grow.

Information for mentees:

  • Please arrive 5 minutes early to check in for your mentor session. Late arrivals (anyone not present at the start of their booked session) may lose their slot to a walk-up attendee.
  • If a session is fully booked, you’re welcome to try as a walk-up in case a booked attendee doesn’t attend.
  • We would recommend preparing a brief introduction about yourself, along with any specific questions or areas you’d like guidance on from your mentor.
