Almass Badat is an international DJ, MC & broadcaster playing Global, South Asian, Jazz, House, Soul, Funk, Afrobeats and more. Born in London, raised in Lusaka, Zambia with Indian roots, Almass Badat’s multi-hyphenated nature positions her as a well-rounded storyteller using sound to connect people, culture and music.
She counts Glastonbury festival, SXSW Austin, Elrow, Pxssy Palace, SoMadFest, BoxOut Wednesdays, Soho House, Centre Pompidou & Strawberries & Creem festival amongst her performance roster across UK, Europe, Ghana, Asia & the USA.
Selected for the 2020 BBC Asian Network Residency cohort, Almass has since featured on WorldwideFM, RinseFM, NTS, BBC 1XTRA, Foundation FM, Refuge Worldwide & more. Almass can now be regularly heard live on Voices Radio with her monthly show, Mass Movement.
When not DJ-ing, Almass is on the mic, on air presenting Mass Movement (breakfast) monthly on Voices Radio or producing and programming music around the world.
