AI & Education: Time to Get to Work

By the time you finish reading this description, thousands of students will have used AI to write an essay, solve a proof, or summarise a chapter. Rather than ponder whether students should use AI, however, the more pertinent question in many countries is now how. In this session, Joleen Liang (Squirrel AI) and two additional experts will bring together distinct perspectives exploring how AI tools are propelling personalised learning at scale, reflect on lessons from the first nation to make AI literacy a mandatory part of the national curriculum, and consider governance approaches to ensure AI learning maintains high standards for youth safety and privacy.
