Lauren Brennan
BBC Radio 2
I’ve worked in music programming and curation for over 20 years, starting off programming music videos for a music TV station. I then moved into radio working in the Music Teams for BBC Radio 1 and 6 Music. As Editor at 6 Music my role included chairing the weekly playlist meeting and booking acts for the annual 6 Music Festival, including the likes of Khruangbin, Little Simz, James Blake and The National. Currently I’m Editor in the Music Team at BBC Radio 2 , the UK’s biggest radio station, working on music programming/policy for our daytime shows and across our live events such as In The Park and Piano Room.

Any opportunity to learn more about the industry, hear new artists and help to give exposure to them is a great thing, and especially working with such a revered brand as SXSW.
