2Spade is one of the most promising new names in the dance music scene, blending the heavy impact of trap and bass with hip-hop’s raw energy and dancefloor-driven bass grooves. Rooted in hip-hop attitude and refined bass production, he defines his sound as HDM (Hiphop Dance Music). HDM represents 2Spade’s musical identity, shaped by a lifelong exposure to both hip-hop and electronic music. It reflects his reinterpretations of hip-hop sensibility through the framework of dance music. His first HDM project, “HDM K-Hiphop Flipz,” reimagines classic and contemporary Korean hip-hop tracks as clubready dance music, receiving strong and fresh responses from the scene. On stage, 2Spade combines the explosive energy of a punk rock frontman, the rhythm of a rapper, and the precision of a DJ, delivering bold and high-impact performances. His originality has earned support from artists such as Yellow Claw, Flosstradamus, Ekali, 4B, JSTJR, DJ Diesel, and Yetep, positioning him as a rising force in global bass music. He has collaborated with leading labels including Barong Family, Sable Valley, and Dim Mak, and performed at major festivals such as EDC Korea, EDC Thailand, Ultra Korea, S2O Korea, Mystic Valley (Thailand), Waterbomb Manila (Philippines), and GAWLI Festival (Myanmar). His remixes for top K-pop groups (including aespa, Stray Kids, NCT 127, and ITZY) highlight the crossover between mainstream pop and underground dance music, while original tracks such as “Violet (Pauline Herr Remix),” “ROCKXTAR,” and “Killers in the Jungle” illustrates his versatility and artistic range. Expanding his global network through constant collaboration, 2Spade has emerged as a defining figure in Asian bass music scene. He has been bridging Seoul’s underground scene with international festivals, events, and collaborative projects with local / global artists and music platform (David Yungin Kim, Ookay, Doberman, Insomniac Radio, EDC Thailand, EDC Korea, and etc.)
