Media Accreditation Policy

Media accreditation for SXSW London is exclusively for those working for legitimate and suitable media outlets. Media accreditation is provided solely for the purpose of journalistic reporting and editorial coverage of SXSW London.

Press coverage can be provided for the SXSW London Conference, Music and Screen festivals.

Media accreditation is provided through completing the online application. Each application is subject to assessment and approval by SXSW London.

Press accreditation closes on 25 April 2025 and only those who are successful will be contacted about the outcome of their application.

SXSW London reserves the right to approve or deny accreditation. The decision is final and cannot be appealed.

Alongside a Letter of Assignment, you must supply a minimum of three articles/videos published within the last nine months with your application in order to validate it. Each article/video must be accompanied with your byline. If you are a freelancer attending on behalf of a publication, you must provide evidence from the commissioning editor of that publication, in the form of a Letter of Assignment, alongside three example articles/ videos. Alongside this, the application must include an overview of your coverage plans at SXSW London.

Media accreditation can be provided to contributors, freelancers, and bloggers/podcasters/vloggers, photographers, filmmakers and crew for reputable media titles. But more information will be required, including but not limited to the following:

  • Proof of recent work with a legitimate media title.

  • Proof of your coverage plans for SXSW London.

Media accreditation WILL NOT be provided to consultants, trend analysts, advisors, market researchers, content producers for brands and agencies, employees of corporate content marketing, advertising or public relations firms, or social media teams. Accreditation will also not be provided to non-editorial employees of legitimate media outlets such as commercial business development and account managers. SXSW London will provide accredited media with access to interview participants, speakers and talent. It is expected that media accreditation holders credit SXSW London as their source and SXSW London must be acknowledged or referenced.

All media must use SXSW London approved images and captions to accompany their coverage.

Filming and photography of all the content across SXSW London is strictly prohibited unless authorised in advance by SXSW London. You agree that (without prior approval) no form of professional camera equipment may be used at the Event to capture content (including, without limitation, videos, clips, photographs, audio recordings, text, graphics, logos, icons, images and software made available to you during the Event).

Approved imagery and video will be available to all accredited members of the press. Please review the SXSW London photography guidelines for full information and credits requirements.

SXSW London will monitor coverage generated by all attending media to ensure coverage plans and assignments were delivered. Those with no proof of coverage may be declined media accreditation for any future conferences.

SXSW London retains the right to cancel any media accreditation at their discretion at any time. Grounds for cancellation covers anyone with media accreditation who has had a change in circumstances and no longer meets the above criteria or standards held by SXSW London.

Please note, SXSW London reserves the right to deny entry to individual events due to capacity.

Please ensure you meet the requirements of the accreditation policy before completing the online form.
