This sensual Venice winner trails a young sex worker who falls in love with an older truck driver while on the run.
If Beat writer Jack Kerouac met the erotic spirit of Alfonso Cuarón’s classic Y Tu Mamá También, the result would most likely resemble David Pablos’s searing erotic drama, produced by famed Mexican actor Diego Luna. Set in the little-explored queer scene of long-distance truck driving, On the Road follows rebellious hustler Veneno (Victor Prieto Simental), who makes a meager living by trading sexual favors at a roadside diner. His life goes from stationary to transit once he meets trucker Muñeco (Osvaldo Sanchez Valenzuela), with the two rapidly embroiled in a dangerous chase as Veneno’s past threatens to catch up with them.
