A woman must reconstruct her identity and sense of self in this gripping thriller set at the height of Venezuela’s political crisis

Set against the chaos of Venezuela’s political crisis in 2017, this tense, propulsive thriller executive produced by Édgar Ramírez follows Adelaida (Natalia Reyes) as she navigates a Caracas where survival demands impossible choices. Returning from her mother’s funeral, she finds her home is seized by a violent female militia. Ousted from her own house and surrounded by a city of escalating tensions and collapsing institutions, Adelaida discovers that her neighbour has just passed away – and left her Spanish passport behind. Set during the few tension-filled days that follow, It Would Be Night in Caracas deftly navigates the morality of survival, as Adelaida navigates a corrupt system, a lawless environment and her own morals to ensure her survival.  (ANNA BOGUTSKAYA)
