Under his leadership, Caliber’s family of socially native, creator-led brands reaches more than 100 million users each month. Its portfolio includes The News Movement (TNM), delivering Gen Z-focused news; The Recount, covering U.S. politics; and Capsule, spotlighting lifestyle and cultural trends. Ramin also oversees The Caliber Collective, a creative studio that produces digital campaigns for more than 25 major brands, including Amazon, KFC, Planned Parenthood, and Snap. Most recently Caliber continued its expansion with the launch of its own video-first, creator-led news platform, SaySo.
Ramin previously served as a strategic advisor to organizations including Mars, Wiley, Hearst Magazines, and McKinsey & Company. He served as the Group Chief Product & Technology Officer at Dow Jones from 2017 to 2021, overseeing more than 1,000 employees worldwide to transform the company’s digital platforms and redesign customer-facing products, including WSJ.com and the risk & compliance suite. Prior, he was Chief Information Officer at Dow Jones, Head of Product for The Times and The Sunday Times, and began his career at Deloitte Consulting.
Ramin is an active early-stage investor, including as a pre-seed investor in Clay, and serves on the board of Success Academy, the largest provider of charter school education in the U.S.
He splits his time between the U.K. and the U.S., where he lives in New York.
