Uon.Earth

Kees Zegers is a Dutch entrepreneur and internet pioneer known for co-founding NU.nl in 1999, the first Dutch news website to provide continuous 24-hour coverage and one of the country's most prominent digital news platforms.  He has founded over a dozen companies across media, marketing, and online services, establishing himself as one of the Netherlands' most successful internet entrepreneurs during the early digital era.

Over the course of his career, Zegers has transitioned toward sustainability-focused initiatives, serving as Founder and Chair Architect of the Union of Nature Foundation (UON), where he applies his extensive experience in design, media, and entrepreneurship to environmental and nature conservation efforts through projects like EarthToday.  Educated at Fontys Hogeschool Eindhoven, he has been based in Amsterdam and is regarded as a serial entrepreneur who emphasizes dreaming big and sharing knowledge in business development.

His work on NU.nl helped shape online journalism in the Netherlands, while his later ventures reflect a commitment to using innovation for broader societal and environmental impact.
