Dr. Foday Dumbuya is a British-Sierra Leonean multidisciplinary artist and designer whose practice bridges design and storytelling. As the Founder and Creative Director of LABRUM London, he explores the dialogue between West African heritage and British tailoring, using fashion as a medium to tell untold stories and reframe cultural narratives.

A recipient of the Queen Elizabeth II Award for British Design, Foday has collaborated with adidas, Arsenal, Asics, Converse, Dr Martens, John Lewis and designed Sierra Leone’s Olympic kit for the 2024 Olympics .

In recognition of his cultural impact and contribution to design, he was awarded an Honorary Doctorate in Design from Nottingham Trent University, affirming his place as one of the leading voices shaping modern British fashion and storytelling today.
