Tay Iwar is a Grammy-nominated singer, songwriter, producer, sound engineer, and multi-instrumentalist, known for his genre-defying sound that blends R&B and afrofusion with a signature falsetto. In 2025, he released his seventh EP, Reflection Station—a transformative project that delves into themes of spirituality, identity, and emotional clarity. The title track, “Reflection Station,” debuted on the US Billboard Afrobeats Songs Chart, marking a career milestone and affirming Tay’s growing impact on the global stage.

Born and raised in Abuja, Nigeria, Tay developed a soulful, experimental sound that stood apart from the Afro-pop dominance of his era. He emerged as a key figure in Nigeria’s alté scene and quickly built a loyal fanbase through early independent releases and his critically acclaimed debut album GEMINI (2019).

Tay’s distinct voice and production sensibility have led to collaborations with a wide range of artists including Burna Boy, Asa, Pa Salieu, Juls, Omah Lay, Stefflon Don, Headie One, and Lucky Daye, whom he supported on tour in the UK.
