Formed in 2022, Salvana is a Barcelona-based shoegaze and alternative rock band that made a national impact that same year with an EP filled with distortion, delays, and lots and lots of reverb ("Salvana"). Comprised of Laura (vocals, bass), Carlitos (vocals, guitar), Pablo (guitar), and Vera (drums), the band has been making strides ever since—touring across Spain, performing on Concierto de Radio 3-, opening for bands like Pile, Cloakroom, Pom Pom Squad, Margaritas Podridas, White Lighters (Brandon Setta from Nothing) and Dharmacide, appearing on MTV Spain, featuring in international playlists (Dreampop, Shoegaze Now), and selling out few venues in Barcelona and Madrid. Their latest feat: playing at Madrid’s La Riviera and Barcelona’s Sala Apolo, opening for Danish artist Trentemøller in front of more than 2,000 people.
In SXSW Salvana will play songs included in their upcoming debut album recorded with Raúl Pérez and Daniel Molina in La Mina Studios in Granada. The spanish band will set foot in the United Kingdom for the first time after an intense European tour. This tour took them to venues in Germany, France, and Luxembourg.
Nothing, Whirr, The Smashing Pumpkins, DIIV and Julie are some of the band's most evident influences.
