Description

For a long time, music was Laville’s best-kept secret.
“I had to live my life before I could write about it,” he says. “I couldn’t create in the moment — I had to go through it first.” And he did. From studying and travelling to working in Michelin-starred restaurants and iconic London venues, Laville built a rich life experience that now pours into every note of his music. Inspired by the likes of Donny Hathaway, Stevie Wonder, Musiq Soulchild, Jamiroquai and more, his sound flows naturally between soul, funk, disco, house and even drum and bass echoing the energy of the house parties that first sparked his love for music. A chance encounter with Acid Jazz founder Eddie Piller at Soho Radio helped set him on his path. His debut album The Wanderer, produced by Tristan Longworth and Charlie Perry, introduced a voice with depth, warmth, and storytelling that cuts deeper than most a bold new presence in British soul that couldn’t stay hidden any longer. Since then, Laville has opened for Grammy-winning legend John Legend at the O2 Arena, sold out headline shows, and featured on tracks with The Stone Foundation, Hybrid Minds, Foreign Beggars, Big Narstie, Smoakland, Enzo Siragusa, and The Brand New Heavies. He also fronts genre-defying projects like The Ash Walker Experience and Phono 48. His recent track Elevation with 2fox caught the attention of house music royalty and has now been remixed by none other than Louie Vega. It's a sign of where things are headed: upward, outward, and across genres. Laville’s creative reach doesn’t stop with music. His brand Noirganica is becoming a cultural force — a multi-ethnic, multi-genre platform that’s brought the best in Black and global talent to a 1,000-capacity stage at Secret Garden Party two years running. From jazz and house to burlesque and carnival, Noirganica is about representation, elevation, and joy. He’s also expanding his style credentials with clothing collaborations with Gabicci — blending classic British soul aesthetics with modern streetwear flair. After curating a 2-day floating carnival with Dead Man’s Fingers rum aboard a 50ft barge, Laville is heading into his most exciting chapter yet. With a new album produced by jazz visionary Ash Walker on the horizon, and TV appearances and headline shows lined up, 2025 is set to be a landmark year for this rising soul powerhouse.
