Born and raised in Trinidad & Tobago, Kalpee continues to draw from his rich cultural heritage, seamlessly blending elements of Calypso, dancehall, and Afrobeats, crafting a sonic landscape adorned with infectious rhythms, soulful melodies, and electronic textures.

“Music that you could easily head bop too, but still make you feel to take a drive down North Coast Road (In Trinidad) on an evening at sunset time” if you ask Kalpee.

He has previously garnered widespread acclaim, earning support from influential platforms such as Radio1, BBC 1Xtra, and Capital Xtra, as well as recognition from esteemed publications like Wonderland and Notion Magazine. His dynamic soundscapes resonate with audiences, offering a perfect balance of familiarity and innovation.

Kalpee continues to build on the explosive success of his past music releases which include singles with Dancehall Queen SteffLon Don & Jamaican singer Mortimer. 2022 saw him hit No 4 in the UK MW Black Chart, spending 10 weeks in the Top 20 while 2023 saw Kalpee perform at the Singapore Grand Prix.

Beyond his musical endeavors, Kalpee is a visionary entrepreneur and community leader. As the Founder of "Iza Island Wave," he champions the representation of Caribbean music on the international stage, with initiatives like the Official Caribbean Stage at SXSW in Austin, Texas, and Music Matters Singapore. Additionally, he is deeply committed to promoting mental health awareness, particularly within Caribbean communities, drawing from his own experience of overcoming a near-fatal car accident in 2019.

Kalpee's project is a modern fusion of Caribbean x Afro x Commercial R&B developed to uplift its audience and promote positive energy.
