Tewke is on a mission to eliminate wasteful energy use in the home without compromising comfort or convenience. Most people don’t realise that their homes are wasting energy every day. Lights are left on in empty rooms, heating and cooling systems run inefficiently, and legacy switches and controls offer little in the way of intelligence or automation. Despite advances in smart tech, the majority of UK homes still rely on century-old infrastructure, manual switches, disconnected devices, and inefficient routines. Tewke solves this by replacing the traditional light switch with a powerful platform that makes every room intelligent. Our flagship product, Tap, combines beautiful hardware with over-the-air software updates, allowing homes to adapt to how people actually live. Tap learns behaviours, senses occupancy, and integrates with other home systems to reduce unnecessary energy consumption, automatically. In early trials, Tewke delivers up to 50% savings in total energy costs, thanks to automation, scheduling, and demand response. But our vision goes beyond lighting: Tewke is a foundational layer for intelligent homes, with upcoming features in temperature control, media, security, and assisted living. We’ve partnered with Sony to manufacture Tap in the UK and are building a national distribution network to reach homeowners, landlords, and trade professionals. Tewke doesn’t just modernise the switch, it redefines how we interact with energy in the home. By making smarter, simpler choices available to everyone, we believe Tewke can play a key role in the UK’s transition to a net zero future.
