Neliswa Hare

Neliswa Hare is the Head of Projects and Partnerships at Humanity Insured a new UK and US registered charity, backed by the insurance sector, dedicated to helping those on the climate frontline access innovative insurance solutions , where she leads strategy, project origination, and collaborative partnerships.

Born in Alexandra, Johannesburg, she co-founded a youth-led consultancy addressing social and environmental issues in South Africa (a company later acquired by Deloitte. )There, she worked across mining, retail, and consumer sectors before leading Deloitte Africa’s WorldClass and WorldClimate programmes, aimed at reaching 100 million lives by 2030.

After relocating to the UK in 2021, Neliswa joined Deloitte’s ESG team and was seconded to the UN Climate Champions, where she led business engagement for the Race to Resilience campaign at COP26 and COP27 supporting efforts to build resilience for 4 billion vulnerable people facing climate risks.

With experience spanning corporates, NGOs, and public sector bodies, Neliswa brings a systems approach to development. She is a Mandela Washington Fellow and WEF Global Shaper alumni, passionate about inclusive growth and climate resilience.
