Michael Gubbins

Michael Gubbins is an experienced journalist, analyst, and consultant working across the creative industries, with expertise in on-demand and digital change. He has moderated more than 500 workshops, think tanks and events around the world, covering film, television, music, games, cross-media development, sport and wide range of topics around digital innovation. He is the former editor of Screen International, Screen Daily, Music Week and technology magazine Computing, and was chair of the innovative Welsh film agency Ffilm Cymru Wales, pioneering cross-media content. He also set up the all creative industries West Midlands Screen Bureau. Among clients for workshops, think tanks and events have been Europa Cinemas, European Audiovisual Observatory, Council of Europe, Europa Distribution, Unifrance, CineRegio and the BFI.
