Leto Meade is an animation director based in the UK.
A graduate of the National Film and Television School’s (NFTS) Directing Animation MA, he is currently developing a children’s TV show with the BBC and working in film and television for clients such as Rockefeller Productions, Lego, Wildbrain Spark, Otherworld VR, the Scottish Opera, Google, the UN, and more.
Leto is passionate about continuing to research and develop the animated medium. He is exploring emerging technologies with the goal of streamlining production whilst maintaining the handmade, tactile quality of animation.
His most recent film ‘Death of the Gods’ achieved worldwide success at film festivals, winning the award for Best Children's Animation at the London International Animation Festival and at Lublin International Animation Festival. The film also picked up awards at the Oscar qualifying ‘In the Palace’ Film Festival and the BAFTA/BIFA qualifying Norwich Film festival. Additionally, it has been nominated for a Royal Television Society Award and a British Animation Award.
Leto has experience in directing VR games and has had successful releases exhibited at the prestigious BIFAN festival in South Korea amongst others.
