Laura Misch
Laura Misch is a saxophonist, singer, producer and field recordist from South London. Her music brings together her three core voices—saxophone, vocals, and synthesis—blending electronic production with a deep connection to the natural world.
She recently released a new single, Alchemy, and toured across the UK and Europe. Her latest album Sample The Earth, a stripped-back acoustic companion to her debut Sample The Sky, was named one of The Guardian’s Top 10 Contemporary Albums of 2024. Both records explore themes of care, connection, and listening—both to each other and to the environment.
Laura’s live shows span a wide range of spaces—from The Barbican and Royal Albert Hall to Berghain Kantine and Paradiso. She’s also appeared at festivals like Montreux Jazz, North Sea Jazz, We Out Here, Latitude, Womad, and SXSW.
Her music has been supported by BBC 6 Music, Radio 2, Radio 4, NTS and Worldwide FM. She recently hosted a BBC Sounds: Music Life episode with Suzanne Ciani, discussing the intersection of music, nature and technology. Her work has also been featured in publications including The Guardian, The Fader, The New York Times, Loud and Quiet, NME, Clash, and The Quietus.
