Glen Gowers is the CEO and Co-Founder of Basecamp Research, a pioneering company addressing critical challenges in the life sciences by exploring the vast potential of uncharted biology. Leveraging this ethically-sourced, evolutionary dataset, the company has developed the EDEN foundational models for drug development. EDEN is the first AI model to demonstrate programmable gene insertion, where a healthy gene can be inserted in the place of a faulty one. Glen holds a PhD in synthetic biology from Imperial College London.
