George Eid

CEO

AREA 17

George is a systems thinker disguised as a storyteller. His work lives where meaning meets mechanism, aligning purpose, people, and systems so organizations evolve with clarity instead of chaos.

As founder of AREA 17, a global craft consultancy, he has spent two decades helping visionary organizations, from OpenAI and Nike to The Getty and The New York Times, grow without losing their soul. He advises CEOs and leadership teams navigating complex transformation, where AI, systems thinking, and brand identity converge to shape what comes next.

His background in theatre and documentary filmmaking taught him to frame complexity, build teams, and surface meaning. That lens still defines his leadership today, using narrative to create clarity, systems to build momentum, and design to make change tangible.

He writes and speaks about clarity, coherence, and care, and how leaders design progress that stays human in a technological world. Along the way, he has co founded several digital products such as Twill, an open-source CMS toolkit for Laravel used by most clients of AREA 17.
