Cristen Caine is an R&D Producer and Course Leader at the National Film and Television School (NFTS). He began his career as a producer, writer, and director for Channel 4, Sky, and others, before becoming Head of Shortform at Kudos Film and TV (Humans, Broadchurch, Grantchester) where he was a leading producer on the BAFTA-winning launch campaign for Humans.
Cristen later became Head of Digital Scripted at EndemolShine (The Fall, Curfew), where he Executive Produced Sky’s first VR drama film (Join The Race). He then moved to the BBC’s Natural History Unit where he developed a range of formats for TV, short form, and podcasts, before joining the NFTS in 2023 as part of its leading Innovation team.
