Join biodesigners Paula Molina and Millicent Sutton for an immersive workshop exploring the world of biodesign and biomaterials. This session introduces the principles of biomaterial innovation, highlighting how nature-inspired materials can offer sustainable solutions to environmental challenges.

The workshop begins with an introduction to the fundamentals of biodesign, followed by hands-on experimentation at two interactive stations: Bioplastics and Bioyarn. Participants will have the opportunity to create their own biomaterials, gaining insight into alternative fabrication methods and the potential of living systems in design.

Through exploration and experimentation, this session encourages participants to rethink material choices in art and design, proving that biodesign isn’t just innovative — it’s a step toward a more sustainable future.
