Whitney Asomani

Whitney Asomani, Consultant and strategist, has demonstrated exceptional leadership and vision in the music industry over the past 18 months. She is a true independent force in the music industry, an executive who isn’t backed by a major company or agency, yet continues to redefine what’s possible. She has built her career on breaking into the unknown, whether it's revitalising an act that the industry had long forgotten, leading culture-shifting marketing campaigns, or creating groundbreaking partnerships between brands and musicians.

A co-manager of the Sugababes 2019 - 2024, Whitney orchestrated one of the most remarkable comebacks in UK music. Taking a group that had been inactive for years, she rebuilt their team, reignited fan interest, and led them to historic milestones—including selling out The O2 Arena for the first time in their career. Their Glastonbury performance became a cultural moment, drawing such an overwhelming crowd that the field had to be shut down due to demand. This success wasn’t just a comeback it was a statement, proving that artists written off by the industry can still thrive with the right vision and tenacity.

Beyond artist management, Whitney is a powerhouse in music marketing. In the midst of the 2020 pandemic, she co-founded Twenty:Two Agency & Whitco Consulting, an independent marketing strategist orchestrating the launch new boyband dearALICE and has recently executed major campaigns for artists such as Usher, Sexyy Redd, and many others. In the summer of 2024, she spearheaded a groundbreaking partnership between Converse London and Afro Nation (Malachite Group)—bringing the Converse brand on the Amapiano stage. This collaboration saw Converse sponsor the Piano People stage, working directly with artists to create on-stage branding moments that bridged the gap between fashion, music, and South Africa’s burgeoning Amapiano movement.

Whitney’s influence goes beyond campaigns and partnerships—she’s committed to shaping the future of the industry. Through her consultancy, WhitCo, she provides strategic guidance to artists and music companies, while also launching a marketing skills programme designed to equip young creatives with industry knowledge and access. Her work isn’t just about driving success—it’s about breaking barriers, creating opportunities, and redefining the boundaries of music, marketing, and culture.
